Kayo

How do I change the video quality on Kayo?
Kayo gives you the ability to change the quality of your video. So, if you have unlimited data, treat yourself to High Definition! The steps you take to change the video quality will vary depending on your device:

TV (Samsung, iOS, Android, Telstra TV)

  1. Log in to Kayo and choose something to watch
  2. Open the top tray by tapping 'Up' on your remote control
  3. The Top Tray will open with a list of options on the left-hand side
  4. Navigate to 'Quality Options'
  5. Choose between three options just by clicking on them:
  • Automatic - the stream quality will be based on the strength of your internet connection
  • Standard Definition (SD) - this will stream your video in 480p or less
  • High Definition (HD) - this will stream your video in 720p or greater

Note: Samsung TV only has an automatic option. We send you the stream the TV can best handle

  1. Click on the option you wish to change your video quality to, and voilà, you're done!

By default, your video quality will be set to Automatic. Your video player will detect the best video quality for you based on your internet speed. It won't interrupt your viewing, either. It will seamlessly change while you're watching. Remember, though, if you change your video quality to Standard Definition or High Definition, it will stay on this setting until you change it again.

Note: You'll be unable to change the video quality using a Safari Web Browser
